The Festival of Foolishness 2024

Hey Valley Villagers,

The Festival of Foolishness is back once again! Featuring an original story set within the world of Disney Dreamlight Valley, we invite you to dive into some summer fun on our website and official Discord server by exploring a text-based adventure featuring some of your favorite Disney and Pixar Villagers from both the Valley and Eternity Isle. 

Depending on the choices you make in this interactive story, you’ll decide how the Festival plays out, and can even claim rewards through a variety of codes you may find along the way. This adventure will only be available from July 16^th 2024 to August 16^th 2024, so make sure to take part in this limited-time event now.

Need a refresher on The Festival of Foolishness? While you don’t need to have participated last year to play, we’ve got you covered below:

Long before the Forgetting, there was a festival dedicated to trickery and nonsense each year. As you’ve repelled the Forgetting, memories of the Festival of Foolishness returned to all Villagers, and they can’t wait to light-heartedly prank their friends and neighbors.

This year, Sulley and Vanellope lead the charge with a unique take on pranking style - they won’t actually be pranking anyone; the greatest prank of all! Will you join them in their ‘anti-prank’ schemes, or lean into a more classic pranking style? The choice is yours! 

How to Play

To get started on your own fooling-filled adventure, visit our Festival of Foolish webpage here: https://disneydreamlightvalley.com/festival-of-foolishness  

• This is a text-based adventure, available in English only. To interact with the story, simply click the dialogue/choice options provided via buttons under the text prompts.
• If you run into any redemption codes along the way, make sure to copy them down to claim later in-game through the Code Redemption menu. These codes will expire on August 16^th, 2024.
• After you’ve finished the story, you may start over. You may even end up with another ending (and other rewards!), depending on your choices!

• The 2023 version of the Festival of Foolishness event can be found via the #FOF-2023 channel. Please note that any codes or rewards found throughout the 2023 story are no longer active.

FAQ

Do I need to have participated last year to understand this year’s story?
No. This story is a stand-alone adventure. If you would like to play the 2023 version of the Festival of Foolishness, you can do so via the #FOF-2023 channel on the Disney Dreamlight Valley Official Discord Server: https://discord.gg/disneydreamlightvalley

Is there any difference between playing through the story on the Disney Dreamlight Valley website or Discord server?
No. Both stories and rewards are the same. 

I thought that the Festival of Foolishness was a Spring-time event?
Like a good prank, you can never really know when the Festival of Foolishness is arriving! 

Can I play through the story multiple times?
Yes! Once you've completed the story, you will be prompted to start over.

How long do I have to play through the story?
The dedicated webpage and Discord channels for the activation will be live until August 16^th, 2024. 

How many redemption codes are there?
There are a total of 9 codes to be found. You will need to play through multiple times to find them all.

When do redemption codes expire?
Redemption codes found within the story will expire on August 16^th, 2024.

I redeemed the code I found in the story in-game, but I can't claim the items from my mailbox!
You will need to have space in your inventory for the items you claim. Make sure that there is room ahead of claiming.

Can I play through and claim all the available codes?
Yes! If you play through multiple times, you may find different codes, and can claim them through the in-game Code Redemption menu. You can only claim each code once.

Do I have to join the Disney Dreamlight Valley Discord server to play?
No. You can play through 2024’s The Festival of Foolishness via our dedicated webpage here: https://disneydreamlightvalley.com/festival-of-foolishness. If you wish to play via the Disney Dreamlight Valley Official Discord Server, you can join for free. Discord membership is free.

Is this activation only in English?
Yes.

Does participating benefit me in-game?
Yes! Not only will you be able to claim codes that you can redeem in-game, but you will get to experience an original story featuring some of your favorite Disney Dreamlight Valley characters.
Should you choose to play on Discord, by joining our official Discord you will gain free access to a variety of Community-made resources and find spaces to interact with fellow players!
