October 08 Hotfix Patch Notes

Hey Valley Villagers!

Following the recent release of Season of Scares, we’ve been monitoring your feedback and are happy to confirm a hotfix addressing many of the top bugs and issues reported by our community.

We truly appreciate everyone who has taken the time to share feedback! Your input is essential in helping us address key issues and identify ways to further enhance your gaming experience.

Please find the details of the contents of the hotfix below:

BUG FIXES AND OTHER IMPROVEMENTS:

• Fixed an issue that could cause the game to freeze or crash when entering or using Furniture Mode for some players.
• Fixed an issue where Tool Wheel selection on gamepad used only the left analog stick instead of the intended control inputs.
• Fixed an issue where gamepad navigation could become unresponsive in Collection Menu and Dreamlight categories after navigating away from the Duties tab in the Events menu.
• Fixed an issue that could freeze the game and prevent progress in “The Tales That Bind” quest after completing The Story of Dreamlight Valley puzzle.
• Fixed an issue where ghosts could remain in Mickey’s House and Merlin’s Library after completing “The Oogie Boogie Contract” quest.
• Fixed an issue where claiming the Lucky Wheel Prize reward could fail to update “A Halloween Invasion,” preventing quest progression.
• Fixed an issue where entering a house containing the Hannah Montana Accessory Rack could cause the interior to fail to load, leaving you stuck in a black void.
• Fixed an issue where if you already owned the Edwardian Photo Frame, you could receive an incorrect inventory-full message and be unable to complete “Portrait of a Lady.”
• Fixed a visual issue where a gap could appear between the Astronomer’s Apprentice Outfit shorts and your upper thigh while running.
• Fixed an issue where the next objective could fail to appear after speaking with Merlin during Step 10 of the Astronomer’s Journey Star Path introduction.
• Fixed a visual issue where the Good Witch Dress could clip through the back of your Avatar while moving.
• Fixed an issue where the Astronomer’s Journey Star Path icon could remain on the Event Board after the Star Path was completed.
• Fixed an issue where button names were missing from the Astronomer's Journey Star Path Game Guide tutorial.
