This Halloween, Oogie Boogie from Disney Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas is bringing his tricks to the Valley. Investigate a mysterious mirror in Scrooge’s Store, step through to a strange new version of the shop, take on his games, and uncover what this Halloween trickster has planned.
And that's not all! Season of Scares introduces new decorating tools, exciting new events, the Event Board, Decoration Preset code sharing, Floating Island improvements, and more.
A Halloween Adventure with Oogie Boogie
Oogie Boogie has arrived in the Valley, and he's ready to cause some trouble!
Follow the strange happenings surrounding a mysterious mirror in Scrooge McDuck's Store and venture through it, where new games, challenges and rewards await each week.

Haunting Elegance Star Path
It's time to give your Valley a bewitching Halloween makeover with the Haunting Elegance Star Path!
Unlock charming outfits, darkly whimsical furniture, Halloween-inspired decorations, and more as you complete Star Path Duties.
Give your home a festive new look with the Tricks and Treats House and get Scrooge McDuck ready for the season with a new Dream Style.
A Season of Scares Premium Shop
The Premium Shop is getting into the Halloween spirit with plenty of new ways to dress up your Valley.
Look out for the Evil & Good Witch Bundle, featuring magical outfits, enchanting furniture, and matching bee-witching Companions.
You'll also be able to become Little Red Riding Hood, inspired by Disney's television series Once Upon a Time, complete with a Big Bad Wolf-inspired canine Companion.
Other additions include Stitch's Vampire Costume Dream Style, a new Sinister Bridge Kit with a matching garden set, and a Companion Bundle featuring Lucifer from Disney's Cinderella.
Share Your Valley Creations
Decoration Presets are getting a major upgrade in Season of Scares, with a brand-new way to share your favorite designs with other Valley Villagers!
You can now create and share your own Presets using code sharing. Simply hover over any of your Presets to generate a unique code that you can give to other Valley Villagers. Codes are valid for 14 days, even if the creator has changed or removed the original Preset.
Looking for a little inspiration? We're also giving you three ready-to-use Decoration Presets inspired by the season, so you can create your very own witchy backyard with just a few clicks!
Keep an eye on our socials to get the codes, then show us how you make them your own! Once added to your collection, these Presets are yours to use whenever you'd like to celebrate the season.
New Ways to Decorate Your Valley
With new ways to share your designs, Season of Scares also gives you more freedom to build and refresh your Valley.
More Freedom with Floating Islands
Looking for even more room to bring your ideas to life?
You can now move select characters stalls and some functional buildings around the Valley on Floating Islands, opening up even more possibilities for your Valley layouts. Expansion versions of eligible stalls and buildings can also be moved to their corresponding expansion’s Floating Island. Check out the latest Patch Notes for the full list of buildings and stalls that can be placed on Floating Islands.
Clear Biomes Instantly
Ever wanted to redecorate a Biome without having to remove everything piece by piece?
The new Clear Biome feature lets you quickly remove Furniture, Landscaping, Fences, and Paths from a Biome or Sub-Biome. Choose exactly what you want to clear, and if you change your mind, you can undo your changes before saving.
We're also expanding Biome-specific crafting with a new collection of witchy furniture inspired by the Forest of Valor.
Introducing the Event Board
With so much happening around the Valley, it can be tricky to keep track of it all. That's where the new Event Board comes in!
The Astronomer's Journey Star Path is a permanent introductory Star Path available to all players. After unlocking your first Realm and speaking with Merlin, you’ll begin the Astronomer’s Journey Star Path and be introduced to the new Event Board, which you’ll be asked to place in the Plaza. Complete quests around the Valley at your own pace to unlock special astronomy-inspired rewards. For Apple Arcade players, this will be available in our next free update.
Use the Event Board to keep track of up to three live events without having to search through your Menu, leave messages, and see messages from Valley Visitors.
Olaf's Grand Exhibition Finale
Olaf's Grand Exhibition reaches its grand finale with two new rooms inspired by the Forgotten Lands and Valley Plaza.
Complete the Exhibition to unlock two new stunning furniture pieces and a Scholarly Fox Companion as a reward for your hard work.
More Ways to Express Yourself
Season of Scares also brings several improvements to Photo Mode and emotes.
Photo Mode Gallery
Your Gallery can now hold up to 12 pictures, while the DreamSnaps Archive lets you browse six months of DreamSnaps. You can also pin up to three favorite entries and share previous entries, with QR codes making it easier to share your favorite creations.
QR codes expire after 7 days, while the DreamSnaps Archive automatically removes the oldest unpinned entries after six months. Gallery contents will be automatically cleared after 180 days of inactivity.
Emote Wheel
Strike a pose anywhere in your Valley with the new Emote Wheel! Use emotes and poses outside of Photo Mode while exploring, decorating, or spending time with your favorite Villagers. Perform emotes around your Villagers to see how they react, or show off your moves to friends while playing in multiplayer!

Haunted Floating Festival : October 7–31
Explore the decorated festival grounds, solve new and returning puzzles, and earn exclusive seasonal decorations.
Trick or Treat : October 14–31
Collect delicious Trick or Treater’s Bounty around the Plaza or go door to door at homes featuring a jack-o'-lantern at the door to collect candy. This year's rewards include new exterior decorations inspired by Halloween Town from Disney Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas.
