A sea full of adventure!
On November 18th, our next expansion Disney Dreamlight Valley: The Keepsake Sea sets sail! In this expansion, you'll transform into a magical Merfolk and discover strange echoes of the past, hinting at the Keepsake Sea's history which goes back to the very heart of Dreamlight Valley, and the start of the Forgetting.
Your journey to the Keepsake Sea begins at Dazzle Beach, where you'll discover a mysterious statue that contains a message from an old friend that is lost and stranded. To find them, you'll need to reach a faraway kingdom across the sea...
On your adventure you'll encounter 4 Guardians that watch over The Keepsake Sea. You'll first need to awaken each from their slumber before you can prove you have a childlike spirit.
This adventure will take you to three brand new island Biomes with unique environments, where you'll meet a slew of new venturing Disney and Pixar characters!
The first island you'll encounter is Shipwreck Shores, a colorful take on a typical pirate bay, where you’ll meet Milo Thatch from Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire and Captain Jack Sparrow from Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean!
After Shipwreck Shores, you'll discover Candy Cove, the second Biome, a quaint fantasy world made up of frosty desserts. Here you'll meet Megara from Disney’s Hercules and Captain Hook from Disney’s Peter Pan!
Oh, and we can’t forget there's also a magical narwal!
Lastly, you'll explore the Kingdom of Oublié, a special place that extends above and below the sea, made up of coral seashell motifs. In this forgotten kingdom you'll meet Wendy from Disney’s Peter Pan.
Each of these magnificent Biomes will also have their own underwater areas! In your Merfolk form, you'll be able to explore these new environments and customize them to make them your own!
It's in these new environments that you'll be introduced to a brand-new type of companion... Adventure Companions! In these waters you'll meet Dory from Disney and Pixar’s Finding Nemo! Dory will help you navigate the underwater areas and what they have to offer... if she can remember where anything is or who you are! Like Notable Companions, Adventure Companions will come with their own rewards and will help you find items deep beneath the sea while accompanying you in a special bubble while on land.
Underwater decorations and customization
We can't wait to share these magical new places and see the creative ways you'll create your own world above and under the waves. Each main Biome will feature thematic architectural kits, underwater decorations, and water props.
Decorate these new underwater areas at different elevations using special platforms to raise or lower items, adding new depth and dimension to your builds.
Decoration Blueprints are also returning in this expansion, with new grand centerpiece furniture to be restored as you go about your journey.
Your underwater adventures will begin when you unlock your Merfolk form, with new customization options including ears, fins, arms, torsos, tail patterns, and plenty of color options.
While in Merfolk form, you can still interact with Villagers and the environment, opening up new Photo Mode and DreamSnaps possibilities.
You’ll also be able to swim across the surface water throughout the Valley and previous expansions, diving into ripples to collect fish instantly!
Set sails matey!
Every great sea adventure needs a ship, and The Keepsake Sea has its very own Enchanted Pirate Ship.
As you progress, use your ship’s crane to salvage items from the water, customize its sail and flag and bring up to two Villagers along as crewmates!
The Pirate Ship also comes with its own dedicated Photo Mode experience. When you’re ready to take a break from adventuring, head below deck to your very own Captain's Cabin, which can be fully decorated and customized, with access to crafting, cooking, and storage.
